*DB Trial Update* - Its profitable‏

I've finally got round to crunching the numbers for the DB Trial.

Now for the newbies and those who have forgotten the DB trial was aimed at laying 2 selections in one race. Initially it appeared that the lay limit of 11 was best and this is what we went with over the course of the trial.

The trial ran from 3rd May to the end of September and over that period it had its ups and downs.
Now the main reason I stopped it was to give us a chance to give it a once over and see if it was worth continuing with.

So what have I found?

Below you should see a table with the breakdown of the results

May
Jun
Jul
Aug
Sep
Total
7 limit

25.34
-4.66

As you can see the most profitable limit overall was 9 closely followed by 10.
Now my biggest concern with the selections was the volatility. The month of June was good for every limit particular those with the higher thresholds. However those higher ones pretty much wiped out Junes profits the following month. Even the most hardened of gambles would find it hard to swallow that.

Now I decided to turn my attention to see if we could improve the 8 and 9 limits.
I must confess I was still a little apprehensive of the -17 in July for 9.

Anyway I preceded to dig a little deeper and indeed managed to eck a bit more profit out of our selections. Below is our improved figures.

MayJunJulAugSepTotal
8 limit0.5632.04-6.5912.69.0147.62
9 limit9.3134.89-15.6923.63.6655.77

So how have we achieved the extra profit?

It would appear by excluding any races where one of our selections was a non runner we could add over 10 points to our profits.
As I said I'm not too happy about July on the lay limit of 9 but I think with an overall average of 11 points profit a month I'll leave it in for now. Don't forget people I've been providing these for free so 11 points is pretty good going as I've seen paid for services perform worse than this.

So what now?

I think I'm going to start providing them again. I'm planning on starting again in November so look out for them. I'm also going to try and stream line them a little but that may happen naturally with the jumps season and the weather.

Cheers

August Results Update

Another up and down month for both Killer Instinct Lays and the DB Trial.

Killer Instinct
Once again we started the month off to a flyer but got pegged back towards the end.

Its a bit like being 2-0 up and drawing 2-2 you still get a point but you could have had all 3.

Anyway most importantly the month finished in profit and it was around our monthly average which has steadily been increasing since we started.

At the end of August Killer Instinct Lays reached the +21 point profit mark for August and our monthly average has risen to +22 points profit.

If I'm honest I'm very happy with our average as this is an extremely healthy return to be producing every month.

This month I have also been monitoring the early prices on betfair to see if we can make Killer Instinct Lays even more profitable.
When I say early prices these are the odds of our selections around the time they are sent out.

So what did I find?

Well it was in fact more profitable by quite a bit. Laying earlier also gives us a bigger window of opportunity to get matched as well.
So if you laid selections around the time the email is sent out and if any selections were over priced at that time. If you then laid any remaining unmatched selections before the off, in August you would have achieved a whooping +33.95 points profit.

Now its something you may want to consider but first you'd need a big betting bank to do this and secondly this is only one months worth of data so I wont be recommending it just yet.
I will continue to monitor and keep you all updated.

So to recap Killer Instinct Lays made +21 points profit in August that now pushes our Total to +132 points profit since the start of the year.

DB Trial

In the end it was a good month for the DB trial we were ticking along quite nicely but a bad day this week hampered us a bit but in the end it was a profitable month.

I'm going to look at the results in a bit more depth over the next coming weeks to see if we can squeeze any more profit out of the selections.

For example laying both selections when both fall inside the limit or excluding selections when there's NR.

Any way here's a break down of the profit for each limit

7 Lay Limit, Aug +3.6 and Total +22.51 points profit
8 Lay Limit, Aug +5.3 and Total +20.41 points profit
9 Lay Limit, Aug +17.25 and Total +34.86 points profit
10 Lay Limit, Aug +23.3 and Total +25.71 points profit
11 Lay Limit, Aug +10.45 and Total +23.76 points profit
12 Lay Limit, Aug +19 and Total +39.76 points profit

Weekly Update

Just a quick update

Killer Instinct Lays continues to march on despite a poor Saturday. We've only added +1.3 points profit this week but so far this month we've made a very good +29.05 points profit.

Hopefully we wont have another disastrous week and we can finish the month with a very healthy return.

The DB trial has been in a sticking patch we haven't really gone anywhere this week and the month in general has been a little slow.

However we have still been profitbale to the tune of +6 points profit to the lay limit of 11.

Here's a break down of the profit for each limit since we started the trial on the 3rd May.

7 Lay Limit +20.51 points profit
8 Lay Limit +21.71 points profit
9 Lay Limit +31.81 points profit
10 Lay Limit +15.06 points profit
11 Lay Limit +19.31 points profit
12 Lay Limit +30.56 points profit

Until next week

5.7 is my lucky number

A new month and a new week.

Why is 5.7 my lucky number well the last four days of Killer Instinct Lays has seen us add exactly +5.7 points profit every single day.

Killer Instinct Lays is off to another flyer and has now hit a run of 31 successful lays. I'm sure you'll all agree that's not bad going and with the average odds of 5.6 still means were keeping liability's low.

So how much have we made so far in August?

Well now were up over +27.75 points profit and with a few drifting quite a bit some of you may well have got some extra profits.

However lets hope lighting doesn't strike twice as this month has a strange feeling of de ja vu. Last month we also got off to a flyer but we then hit a terrible week which wiped out a huge chunk of out profits.
Surely lighting wont strike again.

I've also got a nice pretty chart that shows the progress of Killer Instinct Lays

Now on to the DB Trial

So far its done ok, we had a couple of winners on Saturday that put a dent in our progress but its still been a profitable week with +6.55 points profit added.

Here's a breakdown of the profits for each limit since the start

7 Lay Limit +19.76 points profit
8 Lay Limit +23.56 points profit
9 Lay Limit +27.96 points profit
10 Lay Limit +14.66 points profit
11 Lay Limit +17.96 points profit
12 Lay Limit +27.31 points profit

Whats nice is we have a range of limits that are profitable so gives more people a chance to get involved. As there are those out there that don't like to lay as high as 12 and I don't blame them.
Last month proved how volatile that these sort of limits can be.

Sorry to be boring again but please remember this is still a trial. Even though we are into our forth month and still producing profits I want to be sure what limit is best so will give it another couple of months to paint a complete picture.

Roller Coaster Ride

Its been awhile since I did an update mainly due to the fact I went away camping so was preparing for that last week.

So this month has been a bit of a roller coaster for the Killer Instinct Lays. It raced along and racked up over +34 points profit around the 2 week mark but then had its worst performing day ever followed by one of the worst performing weeks.

However despite this it still managed to finish the month in a very healthy position of +16.03 points profit.

We have also managed to boost our monthly average up to +18.57 points. So we now have a service despite its ups and downs that brings in on average +18.57 points profit which anyone can try for just £10 for the first month.

Even at full price of a reasonable £20 I think you'll agree that +18.57 points profit will more than cover the costs.

So if you haven't already subscribed jump on board at www.thekillerinstinct.co.uk

DB Trial

Well there's no easy way to put it but the DB trial has bombed this month.

I guess there was always a danger of having a month like this with the prices were laying at but I didn't think it would be as bad as -48.9 points.

Believe it or not despite this loss its still in profit over the last 3 months. The important thing to remember is that this is still in its very early stages and its still a TRIAL.

See the profits to each limit below over the last 3 months

7 lay limit +18.91
8 lay limit +15.11
9 lay limit +17.61
10 lay limit +2.41
11 lay limit +13.31
12 lay limit +20.76

Whats interesting now is another month on and some of the lower limits are now more profitable than our original limit off 11.
12 has remained the most profitable through out but limits like 7 are less volatile. In July the lay limit of 7 would have lost just under 10 points if you compare that with the most profitable limit of 12 that lost over 50 points profit.

Anyway as I said this is still a trial and next month will give us more information.

From strength to strength

What can I say?

Its almost becoming boring but Killer Instinct Lays just keeps going from strength to strength.

I could beat around the bush but lets get straight to the point.

+34.11 points profit in just 16 days if we can keep this up it'll be another record breaking month.

DB Trial

Well the DB selections have slowed up a bit this week we've taken a hit and are -6.7 points this week but overall its still doing well +8.35 points for the month.

Since the 3rd May we have now made +70.55 points profit.

Tooo Hot, Tooo Spicy

Hot, Hot, Hot
The Killer Instinct Lays have now breached the +100 points profit mark, since the start of the year.

Despite a couple of poor days at the start of the month Killer Instinct has now turned it around to the tune +17.75 points profit and were only 10 days into the month.

We have now hit 19 losing lays in a row, which 13 got matched.
If your not on board I suggest you subscribe now were still offering the first month at Half Price.

Currently the service is being trialled by some well known people in the industry and once these trials finish there's a very good chance we'll be fully subscribed so don't miss out.

Now for our DB Trial

I have to keep stopping myself from getting carried away but its still rolling on from the +50 points profit it made in June.

So lets have a little recap of the trial and what its about

  • The aim is to lay 2 selections in one race
  • We currently average 3-4 races
  • The trial started 3rd June
  • Lay Limit is 11

We have been sticking to 11 for the limit and will continue to do so until we have a full 3 months under our belt as this will give us a truer picture of the selections.

However those that have been following this from the begin know 12 has proved to be the most profitable limit and continues to do so. Here's a break down of the limits and their profits since we started.

  • Lay Limit 7 has made +33.85 points profit
  • Lay Limit 8 has made +33.55 points profit
  • Lay Limit 9 has made +49.9 points profit
  • Lay Limit 10 has made +53.5 points profit
  • Lay Limit 11 has made +77.25 points profit
  • Lay Limit 12 has made +92.85 points profit

Just FYI the reason I show more the one limit is for starters the profit is healthy across 6 different limits so one limit is no fluke. You can see we have decent profit all over.
The other reason is not everyone is comfortable laying as high as 12, I'll be honest I'd rather not but 2 and bit months on and that's whats proving to be the most profitable. So even if you wanted to keep your liability's low you can still make a very healthy profit to a limit  of 7 or 8.

Until next time

Cheers

Who wants a freebie?

That's right I'm giving away a little freebie.

Its a little system I've been using for a while and its so simple to use.

Its based on laying horses under 4 so liability is low.

Best of all its produced +26.31 points profit and did I say already its so easy to use.

So what do you need to do?

Well most of you have already done it and that's to subscribe to this blog. If you have just drop me an email and I'll send you a copy.

The rest of you subscribe to this blog and you'll get a system for free that is up a healthy +26.31 points profit.

Monthly Update

Just a quick update because I'm busy working on various projects plus I'm a bit done in.

The Killer Instinct Service has been flying along and finished June with a very impressive +29.4 points profit.

You can subscribe to the service for half price of the first month. This service has pulled in +96.27 point profit over just 6 months.
Jump on board at www.thekillerinstinct.co.uk/

DB Trial

We'll the trial is performing very well indeed last month alone it pulled in a whopping +50 points to a limit of 12.
11 has been our set limit and that achieved +42.89 points.

Over just two months this trial has produced +62.2 points to a limit of 11 and to a limit of 12 its made +74 points.

I cant believe how well this has done but I'm resisting the urge to release this just yet as its still early days.

As I said this is still a trial so spread the word where else is giving away free tips that has done +74 points over 2 months.

Killer Instinct Lays - averaging +14 pts profit a month

Saturdays results were ok using betfair SP results Killer Instinct would have finished level, 0 no profit or loss.

However getting on earlier prices would have made a profit. I know of 3 or 4 that were trading well with in our limit so I hope you managed to get on those prices.

For those of you who havent signed up yet for our ridiculous price of just £5 for the first month you need to get on board before Friday as we will be going live to a larger audience.

£5 for a service that's has produced +85 points profit since January, is averaging +14 points profit a month and is already +20 points up this month.

DB is still ticking along quite nicely another +4.35 points profit added over Friday and Saturday.

Keep on Rolling

Well I must confess I do love giving these updates where the profit just keeps on rolling in.

For those that have subscribed have enjoyed an extra bonus over the last 11 days.

They have been receiving my Killer Instinct selections as well which have also performed been doing the business.
Please don't forget to sign up and try them out.

So on with the number crunching.

DB Trial - check out full results here

9 Lay Limit - Monthly +14.36 - Total +19.67
10 Lay Limit - Monthly +14.86 - Total +24.67
11 Lay Limit - Monthly +17.71 - Total +37.02
12 Lay Limit - Monthly +22.46 - Total +45.97

What can I say very healthy figures indeed I'm sure you'll agree. I've always felt all along that 11 is the absolute maximum but the 12 lay limit is still producing the goods.

I'm really happy with these figures especially as the last week has seen roughly 9 points lost so even with a bad week the figures still stand up.

This is still an on going trial so spread the word lets get some more people on board.

Now onto the Killer Instinct selections, these have been doing the very well for me for a very long time.

So since I've been given the selections away over the last 11 days they have produced +13.36 points profit.

Here's a break down of the results since we went live - check out full results here

Jan +24.55
Feb +14.48
Mar +23.83
Apr +14.04
May -11.89
June +20.25
Total +89.11

Apart from one month you can see some very healthy returns.

We will be relaunching very soon so get yourself involved this is a nice steady money maker.

The Profit Continues to Roll in

Hope you've all had a good weekend, I got a little wet today. First thing I went for a run...got wet, came back had some breakfast then took the dog for a walk and got wet, finally went to cut some bushes for my Grandad...yes you guessed it I got wet, no actually I got soaked. I'm not leaving the house anymore today.

Anyway on with business and the trial update.

Someone kindly brought it too my attention that there was a discrepancy in my results.
I had 17:30 Redcar Hambleton as a loser when in fact it won so I have now updated the results to reflect this.
Apologies as careful as I am there can be human error and please feel free to let me know as I want my results to be spot on.

So this month has pretty much continued where last month left off and that is producing profits which is always nice to say.

Please check out the breakdown for each limit plus click here for the full results

7 Lay Limit - Profit in points +18.22
8 Lay Limit - Profit in points +17.92
9 Lay Limit - Profit in points +23.42
10 Lay Limit - Profit in points +13.72

11 Lay Limit - Profit in points +26.07
12 Lay Limit - Profit in points +34.07

As you can see some of the limits have really pulled it back and since our last update the 9 one has almost put on +17 points profit.

Anyway I still think 11 is our target limit long term but we shall keep watching for now.

Please keep following this could be quite an exciting little project so watch this space.

Cheers

Trial Progress

I must confess I'm quite surprised how well the trial is going.

Just to recap the idea is to find 2 runners that we think will not win.
Therefore we are aiming to lay 2 selections in one race.

For now were using a lay limit of 8.
This is a trial and any higher would be foolish until we've built a picture of the most profitable angle.

So who much has it made?

Over 12 days (I dont do Sundays) it has produced a very healthy +13.9 points profit.

I have also noticed to a limit of 11 the profit almost doubles to +27.4 points profit.

So far its been very encouraging but theres still a long way to go.

Obviously a couple of big priced winners could wipe the profit out so the testing continues.
Cheers
Simon

Monday 9 May 2011

New Trial and Update

The idea of the trial is to lay 2 horses in one race so far we are keeping the limit to 8.

Its still very early days so I'm not sure of the most profitable angle but the more results we collect the better an idea I will have.

So how's it gone so far?

Well after 6 days the selections have produced +4.85 points profit not bad.
However the most profitable price limit is 11 which produced a very healthy +14.35 points.
Now I DO NOT recommend laying to this limit it is very early days so stick to 8 if your following.

Most importantly for me its a positive start so watch this space.

Quest Update

The quest is slowing up now and I've been experiencing the yo, yo effect.
I seem to be stuck around the £70 mark now for a while.
We seem to go up to £72 then down to £69 then back up and so on.
I finally thought I cracked it the other day when we shot up to the £74 but a disastrous day with the laying favourite strategy saw us wipe out over £6 which is a lot considering the bank.
In fact we've managed a grand total of 80p profit since our last up date.
The good news is we are still on target...just but I guess this shows the importance of staying a head of the target.
The thing to remember is with betting is you have good patches and you have bad patches.
We were on a bit of a purple patch and I bank grow quite nicely. Obviously now things are starting to level out and the major plus for me is even though we've had a hard couple of weeks we haven't really gone backwards.

So onwards and upwards.

Were continuing with the same strategy's/systems
  • Laying favourites in certain races (Horses)
  • Back and Lays in the place markets (Horses)
  • Laying in the First goal markets (football)
  • Backing the Home team with small staking (football)
Also we back short priced selections as backups on bad days

Cheers

My lays are now +81.25 points to the good

So just to give you all an update on how my lay selections are going as were drawing to the end of the month.

Were looking at a tidy +17.69 points profit for April alone.

If you'd been following the service since we went live 3rd January you'd be +62.6 points better off.

Wait it gets better we original launched with limit of 7 but have discovered that raising this limit slightly is more profitable.

To a limit of 8 the total profit sits at +81.25 points in less than a 100 days.

Please give me a try at www.simonslayselections.com

I apologies the site its rubbish and I know you've heard all this before but you get a 30 day money back guarantee. Plus payment is through paypal so you know you can reclaim no problems.

Just check out the monthly break down to a lay limit of 8

Over Due Update

So I've finally got round to updating you on the quest.

There's good news and bad news.

Bad news first for me always better to get it out of the way. So the bank was decimated 2 reasons for this about a month ago I think it was at Lingfield the racing got delayed and unfortunately screwed up our staking method. The other reason was down to our bot unfortunately it didn't implement our stop loss.

Therefore I took the measure of topping up the account something I didn't want to do but I have so as of the 22nd March we were at £30.

The good news is after this top up we have been flying and I plan to take out the top up at a later date to stick to the challenge.

So whats changed?
Well I've decided to drop the staking, I've kept the strategy of laying favourites but just removing the staking it just caused us to lose too much even with a safety measures in place.

Statement from 23rd March

It would be even better apart from the fact we've had a terrible two days on the horses were we've lost about £9.
However we are still £10 over target now so things have been racing along and that's due to two things.

One - We've tighten up our systems so we have a much steadier stream of profit
Two - We've quite simply hit a hot streak with most of our strategies

As the bank stands we have £60.56 in it and the target amount should be £52.39 so all going well at the moment.

How to guarantee a profit on what ever the outcome of the cricket

The reason cricket can be a good trading ground is due to the big swings in prices but coupled with a decent time window. You will obviously see most of these big swings in the one day or 20/20 games.
My personal favourite and I think the easiest strategy to implement is laying the bowling side when taking early wickets.
When the batting side lose an early wicket or even two they will always look to settle and ensure no more wickets are lost. Were trying to take advantage of those that are over reacting to the wickets and going against the grain can prove to be very profitable. You will hopefully now see the batting teams odds slowly increase as the they settle and so does the market.
Let’s look at an example
West Indies v South Africa just the other day in the very first over WI lost Gayle and the inevitable happened people over reacted and drove the price down on SA.
So perfect lay for us as SA are 1.17 as you can see in the image I placed a £5 lay at this price.
Within just a few minutes the price has started to creep up and I’ve place a back bet on SA at 1.25 for £4.70. This has allowed me to spread the profit across both selections for the famous greening up effect.

This is just a quick example as the price continued to go up as WI built a nice little partnership and if I was trading it I would have backed at higher.
That was a nice easy one unfortunately its not always plain sailing and WI could have lost another wicket after we’d laid SA. This is one of the reasons I like to lay as opposed to backing because the liability is lower on the laying side plus you’ll find more liquidity on the shorter price.
If WI had lost another wicket you have to either cut your losses or let it ride. These are the decisions you have to make but the important thing is not to panic WI will still try to stabilise their innings so you should see the price come up after the overreaction even if it’s a case of limiting your losses.
One other tactic is to scalp on things like 4 or 6’s. This is a simple get in and out after a couple of ticks profit which is probably best done with some software.
I don’t have any examples to show at the minute but quite simply we do this when a team hits a boundary the overreaction happens.  Don’t employ this right at the end of the game because teams could be going hell for leather. In the middle over’s teams will take a boundary in an over and the bowler will do his best to tighten it up.
This does require a little skill therefore I suggest you watch how the market moves after boundary’s are hit, dot bowls are bowled and even when the spinner bowls are deployed as they normally result in the slight slowing down of a game.
Hopefully this gives you some food for thought, good luck
Cheers , Simon

Roll up, roll up, get your free tips here

That's right I'm giving away free tips to all followers of my blog.

Why?
Why not...well I've just move my blog from millionquest.wordpress.com to anothermillionairequest.blogspot.com and I really wanted to get people to follow me.

So I'd really like to drum up some interest so please spread the word.

What will we get?
I'd like to think that my speciality is laying horses to lose on the betting exchanges which I'm due to launch a service of mine own in a joint venture with psychicbettingreviews.com/ very soon you can still get some of these free over the next week or so.
I'll also offer up the odd back one on the horses along with some football selections.
So what have you to lose.

Cheers

Update - Feb

I know its been a while but I was hoping to update you with some good news.

Well to be honest its proving quite difficult to make a million...funny that.
Every time I'm within a whisker of getting back on track I hit a bad spell.

Anyway the current situation as I write is were about £4 off target now I know that doesn't sound like a lot but when our daily target should be 42p it is a bit of a catch up.

So I'm looking for about a 3% daily target over the next 12 days to getting back on track.

Strategys
So I've added the odd extra strategy to try to compensate some of the losses
So at the moment I'm...

  • Laying favourites in certain horse races with staking

  • Back and Lays on the horse racing place market

  • Backing home football teams with staking

  • Laying first goal time in football games

So hopefully next update will see us steaming ahead, fingers crossed.

Cheers, Simon

A brief explanation of Lay bets

I’ve suddenly thought that I’m making the assumption that everyone who visits this blog knows what I’m talking about.  So I’m going to start posting details of what exactly I’m doing and what’s involved.

So first up what is lay betting?

Well quite simply put a lay bet is a bet on something that won’t happen or you’re selecting the loser.

Sounds easy right…let’s not get carried away for starters only betting exchanges will accept these types of bet.

What’s a betting exchange?

Some of you out there may have noticed these betting exchanges that have started to pop up. Well what these allow you to do is bet against any old tom, dick and harry.

Because you can bet against someone you can effectively be a bookmaker so you can accept someone else’s bet.

Here’s an example

Let’s say Jeff fancy’s backing Arsenal to beat Chelsea at odds of evens for £10. I on the other hand think Arsenal won’t win and the game will be a draw or Chelsea will win.

So Jeff places his £10 bet on Arsenal as I want to lay Arsenal I accept this bet but I also have to accept the liability that goes with it. As the odds are even the liability is quite low. To calculate the liability you turn the odds to decimal so evens is 2 you then subtract 1 which leaves you with 1. You then times that by the stake you want to lay so in this instance 10. So the equation is 2-1=1 1*10=10
£10 is our liability

So if Arsenal win Jeff gets his stake returned plus £10 and we lose that £10 if the game finishes a draw or a Chelsea win we get £10 and Jeff loses £10

Let’s do another quick example

This time we want to lay a horse priced at 5/1 and Jeff wants to back it at these odds.

Jeff stakes £5 on the horse to win and I decide to lay that horse to lose. Therefore on this occasion our liability will be 5/1 = 5 in decimal, 5-1=4, 4*5=20
So this time round we could lose £20 because we are offering higher odds to Jeff and he could gain that £20.

So we are effectively risking £20 for a £5 gain and Jeff is risking £5 for a £20 gain.

As you can see that the higher the odds the more likely you are to get winning bets with laying but obviously there is a higher risk to it as well.

Well I think thats about it I’ll try and follow-up on explaining betting exchanges and may do a video showing a lay bet being placed.

Cheers

Update 07 Feb

Here's a quick update of whats happened since our last post it's not too exciting.

28th Jan - 7th Feb
Basketball: £1.24 | Horse Racing: £4.76 | Soccer: -£2.03 | Total P&L:  £3.97

So as you can see football is letting me down the one sport I should know a lot about.

So whats gone wrong?
A couple of major hits were taking on laying of the first goal inside the 1st minutes of games. It's a strategy that I've been paper trading with success but as is always the case introduce a little money and you pick up the losers. Anyway it will provide us profit over time so I think it's a case of just give it time which in escence is what this is all about.

Horse racing has been up and down the laying favourites strategy has been going well however we incurred a couple of losing days our first it has to be said. One was just a losing day which we still could and would have taken our profit if one of our selections got matched. The other one was an error in the bot when a bet didn't get matched it stopped staking after a couple of losers which meant we just had to take the hit.

Anyway after a sticking patch we look like we getting back on course but we are still behind.

I will be posting more articles about my methods and strategys in the future.

Cheers

Simon

Betting bank takes a hit

So lets up date you all on whats happened so far

First week +1.37

Second Week -1.03

Our account took a huge hit over the last few days as dissaponting as it is we must not panic.

So whats gone wrong the first part of our losses quite simply are down to our place selections just not quite cutting the mustard.

The second one was my own judgement I made two bad calls on trading the football.

The only plus through out this is that my laying favourite strategy has been flying consitently making profits and therefore I've been taking more than the orignal 10p a day aim.

Over the last few days it has comfortably pulled 50p+ to lays of 12p infact most days would hit the £1 mark but we still need to play it safe.

So where do we go from here well our bank has seen a % decrease so if we  are to make up those losses we'll need a longer term recovery stratergy.

I'm giving myself 10 days to get back on track and we'll reaccess again once we get there.

We'll continue with the place backing despite the losses we've incurred the profitably days will out weigh the negative ones.

As I mentioned before the laying favs stratergy is flying so we'll continue to use this with the 50p a day target for now.

I have also added football trading strategys to try and top up the bank despite two bad outcomes over time this should be a relatively low risk option that will be profitable.

Below is a break down of our daily profit or loss.

Off and Running

So we kicked off our quest on the 10th January and to be honest it was a poor start .

Our loss for the day was 19p ok not too much to worry about but in the scheme of things that should be our daily target. The main reason was the staking on the place lays in the end I adopted a more conservative approach as I didn't want to risk too much of the bank. As a result I have already decided to alter my strategy and its only day 1.

From now on were concentrating on backing horses on the place market and laying favourites in the win market no higher than 4.

Day 2 - Went off with out a hitch 2 winning place back bets plus a place lay bet all succesful straight away so we closed out the day with a profit 35p. 19p was the target so the extra has allowed us to claw back some of first day losses.

Day 3 - Was a very good day another 100% striker rate this time two winning back place bets, one lay place bet and a lay win bet. 56p profit means we've pulled back our losses and some.

Day 4 - 25p achieved with only one losing lay followed by a succesful recover next race. I was happy to take that now were in a good position.

So four days in and so far a good start.

All our daily targets were 19p and we've averaged 24p a day so far.
Our bank now stands at £13.33 and our daily target is now upto 20p

Inserted is a screen shot of the profit and loss from the account
